S. M. Muneer appointed as CEO Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP)

Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif has appointed prominent industrialist, former President FPCCI and patron-in-Chief KATI, S.M.Muneer as Chief Executive Officer of Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP).

 The notification issued in this respect said that SM Muneer is appointed as CEO Trade Development Authority (TDAP) under the Ministry of Commerce, on contract basis in purely honorary capacity and shall draw no salary. The move of the government by giving the task as the Chief of TDAP to SM Muneer is in fact winning the confidence of the private sector, which should be reflected in boosting country‚Äôs export going forward.

President, Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Zakaria Usman, former President FPCCI, Tariq Saeed, President, Karachi Industrial Alliance, Mian Zahid Hussain and Chairman, Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI), Syed Farukh Mazhar and many other senior business leaders appreciated the appointment of S.M. Muneer as CEO-TDAP. They said that due to prevailing law and order condition, power and gas shortage, high rate of taxes and high cost of manufacturing exports items suffers and facing reduction trend. They hoped that new Chief Executive will do whatever he can to boost exports.

President Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) Syed Farrukh Mazhar termed that Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif has done right decision to appoint S M Muneer as CEO-TDAP, as he has the potential to increase exports due to his vast experience and abilities.
