SUPERBA reports success and remarks on
the sad demise of Mr Darin McClure, President of Superba
American subsidiary |
The ITMA 2011 exhibition in Barcelona has been sadly marked
for Superba: indeed Mr Darin McClure, President of Superba
American subsidiary in Dalton, American Superba Inc, died on the
5th day of the exhibition from a sudden heart attack at the age
of 45.
According to Superba, “We would like to thank all our
customers, especially American, as well as our partners who
numerously came to our booth to express their sympathy on this
painful occasion. Despite difficult circumstances we had to be
at the disposal of our many visitors on our stand to show them
our new developments, explain them the advantages of our
technology and know-how, at the service of the carpet industry
development.”
SUPERBA presented their heat-setting line of the latest
generation for carpet yarns, the TVP3, in its more tuned up
version. Revealed for the 1st time at the ITMA Münich, the
success of this line was immediate with more than 80 TVP3 lines
sold throughout the world and new orders have been placed during
the show.
“We had also for the first time a spare-parts corner to
demonstrate our customers the quality difference for the
Original Equipment Manufacturer parts on this market segment
that became so competitive.”
The new development of this ITMA 2011 is the texturing line
for artificial turf, GREENTEX. The especially innovative aspect
of this new patented process astonished numerous visitors who
came to look at this impressive machine able to treat up to 12
ends in one operation.
The high growth of this artificial turf field in both the
landscaping and sport, has been one of the factors of high
interest brought to this innovation by the industrials from the
floor covering sector in search of new markets. Superba would
like to dedicate the success of this exhibition to their dear
departed colleague, and thank all the customers who came to
visit their booth and continue to trust in SUPERBA’s experience
for the success of their projects.
