Mario Crosta:New shearing machine SSC/a Tornado

The company was founded in 1925 by Mr. Mario Crosta, a pioneer in Italy in the development and construction of machinery and systems for finishing and ennobling fabrics. In the early post-war period Mario Crosta was able to satisfy its customers’ production requirements with over 25 production models and a staff of 150. As market developed, under the leader ship of Mr. Mario and then Mr. Emanuele Crosta, the Company evolved constantly to attain increasingly higher targets with state-of-the-art technologies. The Company is represented in Pakistan by Mustex Corporation.

Mario Crosta Group was present at ITMA Barcelona and according to Adriano Molteni, Area Manager; “Our company has placed greater attention on machine models which are easy to use, but even easier to maintain, as most of the machine details have been designed to be easily disassembled and reassembled, thus facilitating preventive maintenance.”

He added, “A strong effort has been also directed to a further standardization of the models, with the aim to reduce costs and to speed up delivery times. But surely, the most interesting thing is the application of the recent studies in the field of electronic power reduction management, implementation of which allowed us to obtain the ACIMIT green label: Sustainable Technology."

Mario Crosta also presented one head for powder scattering for thermoplastic adhesives; that is the heart of a typical plant for the coating and laminating of woven and nonwoven technical fabrics, for automotive, carpet and footwear industry.

It is also important to note that Mario Crosta has recently invested in several new production areas and know-how relevant to the study and construction of plants for:

  • Knife and air coating lines.
  • Coating and laminating lines with traditional and Hot Melt technology.
  • Lines of shedding thermoplastic powders and pastes.
  • Flame lamination lines.
  • Felt treatment lines.

Mario Crosta presented SSC/a Tornado at ITMA 2011 which offers faster and easier replacement of shearing group (fitted on slides). This new shearing machine has ledger blade with different angulations and geometry, thus offering higher speed on cylinder with more precision.

The powder scattering lines by Mario Crosta group are suitable for automotive, hometextiles, shoe (interlinings) and garment interlinings for shirt collars. The flame lamination lines for car seats, headliners as well as upholstery applications. The powder dot coating and lamination lines, hot melt lines, knife coating lines and  last but not the least the range of laboratory machines such as coating, impregnating & hot melt lines in working width of 1000 mm complete its production program.
