Specialty fabrics trade event for Asia-Pacific Region

The Industrial Fabrics Association International has announced the formation of an elite industry advisory committee for IFAI Expo Asia 2011, the major technical textiles industry event being organized for Singapore in March 2011.

Advisory Committee members include: 

  • Henk Stijweg, B. van Zuiden (Asia), Ltd., Thailand.
  • Samir Gupta, Business Co-ordination House (BCH), India.
  • Junko Takai, Hivix Co. Ltd., Japan.
  • Martin King, North Carolina State University College of Textiles, USA.
  • Roshan Shishoo, Shishoo Consulting, Sweden.

According to IFAI President and CEO Steve Warner, "We are extremely pleased to have these industry experts from around the world help guide the premiere of IFAI Expo Asia 2011. They each represent expertise in different market segments of our diverse industry."

Technical symposiums are being developing to provide insight on the rapidly sectors of the market which mean big business around the world:

  • Architectural Fabric Structures.
  • Shades and Energy Efficiency.
  • Geosynthetic Applications for Infrastructure and Environment.
  • E-textiles and Smart Fabrics.
  • Graphics and Signage.
  • Medical Applications.

  • Global Technical Textile Market Outlook.

The Conference delegates will learn about the latest technologies, market trends, engineering trends, geosynthetic uses, product designs, and fabrication strategies for improving sales, market share and business profitability. Technical symposiums will be held 22-25 March, and the Exhibition will be held 23-25 March 2011.  Catering specifically to the Asia-Pacific audience, IFAI Expo Asia 2011 is a high-level, B2B platform developed specially to address the growth, concerns and challenges of the industry.

 This exhibition and matchmaking event for manufacturers of finished products and industry suppliers, and is expected to draw more than 150 international and regional exhibitors. About 2,000 trade visitors from Asia and the Pacific region are expected to attend.
