Two industrialists appointed on the
Board of Directors of Pakistan Textile City Limited
Renowned business leaders and industrialists Zubair Motiwala
and Nisar Sheikhani have been appointed on the Board of
Directors of Pakistan Textile City Limited.
Pakistan Textile City Limited, a public-private joint-venture
corporation is developing the first dedicated industrial zone at
Port Qasim for the textile industry offering internationally
compliant infrastructure. Work on 20 MGD water pipeline, 250
captive MW power plant, road network, designing of effluent
treatment plant and administration building is in progress while
the project is expected to be offered for booking of industrial
plots soon.
Zubair Motiwala, advisor to the Chief Minister of Sindh for
provincial investment is a well-known leading business and
industry figure of Pakistan. He is also Ex-President of Karachi
Chamber of Commerce & Industries, Former Chairman APTPMA,
Chairman Ministry of Textile Committee on Reducing Cost of Doing
Business in Textile & Clothing Sector, Chairman SITE Association
of Industry, Chairman Council of Karachi’s Industrial
Association and is part of board of several other leading
organizations.
Nisar Shekhani, former Chairman of All Pakistan Textile
Processing Mills Association (APTPMA), and Sindh Industrial
Trading Estate (SITE), is a leading textile industrialist known
for his contributions to the value-added textile sector. He also
serves as Chairman of Razak Silk Mill (Pvt.) Ltd.
