Navis Global has sold and shipped the 200th Honduran machine to Bay Island International/Simtex International in September 2009. The 200th machine is a Pak Nit II SP Compactor to improve on the quality and production of the machinery Bay Island had been using. This Pak Nit II SP is the 5th TubeTex machine for Bay Island, and is the first compactor.  Bay Island’s experience with the other TubeTex equipment and the local Honduran service center were key factors in the purchase of the tubular compactor.

The 200 machines in Honduras include over 130 tubular compactors, tubular pads, relax dryers, open width compactors, pin tenters, reversing poles, and nappers. The continued growth in Central America reinforces the commitment of the Service Center and Parts Warehouse in San Pedro Sula to serve all Navis TubeTex’s customers in the area.
