representative textile exhibitions in the world matching with
the development trends of textile industry, new equipments.
Textile industry is a traditional key industry of China's
economy, it also has the explicit competitiveness globally.
Despite the fact that since the 2nd half of year 2008, export
oriented companies of textile industry have been suffering at
different extent due to the global economic downturn, however,
as China's textile industry still have its competitive edge,
together with the support of government, including increase of
the export tax rebate rate for textile products and apparels
from 14% to 15%, developing international and domestic markets
actively, special fund to support technologies transformation
and innovation, support to the advantageous backbone
corporations, enforcing the acquisition of cotton and silk from
the "Revitalizing Plan" , etc, ensures that leading foreign
textile machinery manufacturers still have confidence in Chinese
market. It is believed that Chinese textile industry is
developing from "large" to "strong", and enterprises utilising
existing market situation, meaning that "survival of the
fittest" to enlarge their market share and upgrade the product
technologies.
With
strong confidence in Chinese economy, and a reliable brand image
built by ShanghaiTex in previous years, ShanghaiTex 2009 has
gained support from exhibitors and textile industry. Numerous

platform for market promotion in 2009.
With tremendous growth of textile industry in China through
the past decades, "Textile Factory of the World" is a title
directly revealing China's dominance. Nevertheless, the
increasing cost of raw materials and labor force is slowing down
the development. After 8 years of rapid growth, Chinese product
can no longer rely on low selling price in the competition, in
other words; the era of high quality production with modern
technology arrives.
On the other hand, there is an increase in apparels
consumption and Chinese manufacturers are not only concerned
about product export, but also domestic selling, which also
contributes an increase of textile machinery demand.
To meet the eminent needs of the Chinese market, lots of
exhibitors will introduce the energy saving, environmental
friendly and efficient equipments at ShanghaiTex 2009 and some
will even make the debut of their newest machineries.
Energy-saving, environmentally friendly new equipment and
technologies will be the focus, as environmental protection and
energy conservation are two areas of concern in China's macro
economic adjustment measures.
