World textile giants will meet in ITM 2009, Istanbul

ITM 2009 International Textile Machinery Exhibition will be held during June 6-10, 2009 at Beylikduzu Tuyap Fair Convention and Congress Centre has expected to receive good response. ITM 2009 to take place in Istanbul, the link between and meeting point of Europe for the Middle East, Eastern Europe and the Balkans, is the right address for world textile technology manufacturers to reach their target markets. Consequently, reservations and sales which started in January 2008, have filled up a large portion of the 10 halls that are planned for ITM 2009. ITM 2009 along with its multinational exhibitors will bring together important textile manufacturers from the Asia and Africa areas. PTJ will be present as an exhibitor at ITM Istanbul and is pleased to present the show preview for the interest of our readers.

The President of Tuyap Holding, Mr.Bulent Unal, emphasized that: “The most effective exhibition of this year 2009 will bring together manufacturers from the Balkans, Ukraine and Russia, Caucasian and Arab countries, Southern and Central Africa as well as Central Asia. Increasing production of textiles and planned investments as well as growing existing investments due to energy resources has resulted in interest from the start of 2008 promotions.”

ITM 2009, which will take place at a larger and newly renovated Beylikduzu Tuyap Fair Convention and Congress Centre, has received many requests from the exhibitors and visitors from the Middle East, and Balkans as well requests from Far Eastern countries such as India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and  China. As indicated by the Sales and Marketing Director of Teknik LTD Mr.Necip Guney: “In accordance with this high interest, 1500 exhibitors and approximately 80,000 international visitors are expected at ITM 2009 which will result in an acceleration of worldwide textile investment and business.”

Tuyap Holding Chairman of Executive Board, Mr. Serdar Yalcin, underlining the importance of the ITM textile machinery exhibition within a broad geography believes that: “According to the changing global market conditions, visitors from booming areas such as the Balkans, Russia, Central Asia, Middle East and Africa enrich the exhibition project. The expected 80,000 local and domestic visitors will be a very important and attractive meeting for exhibitors.”

The geographical location of Istanbul, which is close to the Middle East, Turkish Republics, Balkans and Europe, has many advantages according to the Director of Technical Operations of Teknik LTD, Mr.Umit Vural: “The larger part of our target visitors will be coming from these areas and we are confident that there will be many visitors and exhibitors from the Far East.”

More than 1000 producer companies and almost 100.000 national and international investors are expected to visit ITM 2009 International Textile Machinery Exhibition that will be organized with the cooperation of Teknik Fuarcılık, Tüyap and TEMSAD.

ITM 2009 Exhibition, of which studies started with the slogan of “Textile Exhibitions are realized in Textile Country”, will carry Turkish textile sector to the top of the world. ITM 2004 International Textile Machinery Exhibition organized with the cooperation of Tüyap in Beylikdüzü Exhibition and Congress Center, on 01-06 June 2004 was visited by 60.000 investors and realized with the participation of almost 1000 producer companies.

Turkey being one of the leading textile investment countries of the world  continues to attract attention in international arena with its characteristics such  as the potential it has, experience, knowledge, qualified manpower, production capacity and quality.

Despite the fluctuations in world textile, the innovation studies through the investments on quality and capacity increase in Turkish textile industry, especially in the recent years, has been an important factor for world brands to direct their production to Turkey. Such factors as inclination towards high value added products by increasing quality, increasing R&D and P&D investments, qualifying the labor force, renovation of technologies, increasing the capacities, short delivery times and its closeness to fashion centers, moves Turkish textile industry further than its current successful position.

The organization of such exhibitions  follow the developments of the latest technologies. Istanbul, the capital city of textile industry in Turkey and the gateway of world textile, is the most appropriate center to bring Turkish and world textile machinery producers and purchasers together.

Having such advantages as infrastructure, ease of accessibility, its being a commerce and industry center, and extensive accommodation capacity, Istanbul is fully prepared to host the largest textile machinery show in Turkey again, following ITM 2004.

At ITM2004, companies coming from U.S.A., Germany, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Czech Republic, China, Denmark, France, Netherlands, India, England, Spain, Israel, Sweden, Switzerland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Luxembourg, Egypt, Pakistan, Singapore, Turkey, Greece and Taiwan exhibited at the show. Also followed closely by the world’s leading textile publications, the exhibitors showed their latest machines on operation at ITM 2004.

Having great amount of visitors especially from Middle East and Balkan countries, ITM 2004 received thousands of visitors from many countries including Switzerland, Germany, Iran,  Italy, Syria, France, Pakistan, Russia, Japan, India, Spain, Taiwan, Korea, Egypt, USA, China, Bulgaria, Lebanon, Georgia, Kuwait, Belgium, Uzbekistan, Saudi Arabia, Israel, United Arab Emirates, Poland, Jordan, Algeria, Hungary, Yugoslavia.

ITM 2004 Exhibition, in which hundreds of machines were sold and hundreds of models were ordered, made Turkey the center of world textile trade. Held in the gateway of Asia and Europe in Istanbul, European textile technology producers met with the investors from Middle East and Eastern Europe countries at ITM 2004 Exhibition.

In Istanbul, the most important door from Europe to Middle East and Eastern Europe, the investors making purchasing for technological renovations in this regions, met the latest technology producer and marketer companies at ITM 2004. Also Turkish textile producers expecting to increase their production quality by improving their capacity and machinery park continuously purchased many machines in this exhibition.

90 Italian textile machinery manufacturers will exhibit at ITM 2009

About 90 Italian companies will exhibit at ITM 2009 testifying the great attention paid by the Italian companies to this market. According to a report by ACIMIT, in 2008 Italian textile machinery exports toward Turkish market totaled Euro 90 million, which confirmed Turkey as a leading world market for the Italian textile machinery industry. The most requested Italian machines in Turkey are spinning machines (28% of total 2008 exports), knitting ones (23%) and finishing ones (18%).

The 300 Italian companies that in 2008 produced machinery for a value of Euro 2 billion, pay the highest attention to the requests of the textile industry to propose new solutions of innovation, productivity, safety with the utmost satisfaction of their clients. Federico Pellegata, ACIMIT's director said that ACIMIT and ICE will organize a Gala Dinner on June 6 at ITM 2009, and a fashion show of clothes made by Italian textile machinery in cooperation with "Camera della Moda", a non profit Association with head office in Milan.
