Textile Asia 2009, Karachi

6th Textile Asia - International Textile & Garment Machinery Show poised to be a successful show despite economic downturn.

Dr. Khurshid Nizam, President Ecommerce Gateway

Textile Asia in my opinion will play a major role in helping our industry recover from the present crisis. What is needed most to recover from the crisis is true value addition which will be possible with investment in the latest technology.

For the sixth consecutive year Ecommerce Gateway is organizing Textile Asia  which is the only UFI approved  trade exhibition for textile machinery in India and Pakistan. As always we have taken extraordinary measures to ensure security and safety of exhibitors and visitors. At the airport special arrangements have been made to welcome participants coming from abroad as well as from up country to facilitate their visit and to make it most useful.

Trade visitors will be visiting from all over the country to enhance  their knowledge as well as to make important investment decisions. Owners are bringing technicians and their entire technical teams. Many of these companies are SMEs that stand to benefit a great deal from an exhibition such as Textile Asia.

We have high hopes for the second phase of Textile Asia to be held in Lahore in October 2009 and we have already received a tremendous  response from exhibitors.

Mr. Sohail Aziz, Executive Director Ecommerce Gateway

The textile industry is going through a great crisis at the moment. Even at a difficult time like this, we managed to bring 329 brands to Textile Asia. From 23 countries and the total participation will be in three halls.  We are going to have the second edition of Textile Asia in Lahore in October.

We are expecting excellent visitor participation in our show. Extensive mailing and invitations have gone out to the textile industry all over Pakistan and we are expecting a very good turnout. We organized several road shows and presentations of Textile Asia and received excellent response particularly in Faisalabad and Sialkot.

All our exhibitors have worked hard to invite their customers from the industry to Textile Asia. The slow period in the economy demands better marketing efforts and product development and the focus should be on value addition.  The technology on display will be state of the art and will be meant for high value addition. There is  a new section of dyes and chemicals which are present in full force.

Mr. Mujeeb R. Siddiqui, GM Sales & Marketing

We are confident that Textile Asia Exhibition will be successful and the exhibitors and visitors both will be satisfied  with the organization of the event.  The success of a trade show depends upon the quality of both exhibitors and visitors and this year as before we are expecting good response.
