Novelties at Textile Asia 2009
Naz International Company
Established in 1973, Naz International was active in paper
and pulp industry. In 1999, NAZ made a debut in the textile
industry with laboratory testing instruments from ATLAS Material
Testing Technology. The Atlas Group is considered as the world’s
leader in the field of weathering instrument, including Xenon
arc Based Weather-Ometers, Corrosion – Salt Fog and Humidity
Chambers, UV Condensation devices, etc. These instruments are
used in the automobiles, paints, textile, building materials,
plastics to test the degradation due to exposure of climactic
conditions such as light, humidity/ rain, temperature and gases.
The SDL Atlas Group of companies offers the largest range of
textile testing products, supplies, consumables, and services
available from a single source. With its own offices in the
U.K., U.S., Hong Kong and China, plus agents in over 100 other
countries, SDL Atlas is ready to support its customers anywhere
in the world.
SDL Atlas have recently presented Hydrostatic Head Tester,
Air Permeability Tester and MMT Liquid Moisture Management
System at ITMA ASIA
in China.
The Hydrostatic Head Tester meets EN 20811 and AATCC 127
testing requirements. Designed for easy use, the new unit
provides quick, reliable, and repeatable testing of the
resistance of a fabric to the penetration of water under
hydrostatic pressure. The tester can be used effectively with
all types of fabrics, including those treated with water
resistant and water repellent finishes.
The Air Permeability Tester's superior technology measures
the air permeability of textile fabrics – including woven
fabrics, nonwoven fabrics, air bag fabrics, blankets, napped
fabrics, knitted fabrics, layered fabrics and pile fabrics. This
new instrument can also measure air flow through slab, bonded,
and molded flexible cellular products known as urethane foams.
The Air Permeability Tester complies with a number of test
standards, including ASTM D 737 and D3574 and ISO 9237.
The MMT Liquid Moisture Management Tester can measure and
demonstrate the ability of a fabric to improve apparel comfort.
The MMT is recognized and used for both R&D and quality control
by a growing number of sportswear and performance fabric
manufacturers serving this critically important market segment.
