ITEMA Weaving, the one company

Sultex, Promatech, ITEMA Weaving Machinery (China) and First were moulded into a new “one” company model. This means, one group management, one sales- and service organisation, one group marketing & product management department, one head quarter and finally, one integrated supply chain and data system.

ITEMA Weaving displayed three major weft insertion systems on its booth at INDIA ITME 2008 in Bangalore. ITEMA Weaving showed 6 high-tech weaving machines.

The renowned brands Sulzer Textil, Somet, Vamatex, and Fimtextile offered a complete range of weaving machines, accessories and services.

All the machines are energy friendly due to efficient drive motors and high-tech solutions applied to all machine concepts. The Sulzer Textil air-jet L5500 is the new bench mark in regard of air consumption. All weft insertion systems have a small foot print and produce high class fabric with no, or absolute minimal waste.

The visitors were able to see the latest results of ITEMA Weaving’s strong and ongoing R&D commitment, which takes advantage of the synergies generated by pooling 190 years of experience within the group. ITEMA Weaving’s product range satisfied production requirements, from commodity to highfashion and specialised industrial fabrics. Six weaving machines representing the various brands were on show.

One of the highlights was the re-engineered K88 rapier weaving machine; it was the result of experience gained and synergies created within the Euro-Chinese organizations of the company. The K88 features improved performance, greater versatility and proven reliability because of advanced solutions adopted from the high-end machines.
