CEMATEX
new President

The General Assembly of CEMATEX took place on June 11th, 2004 in Ravello (Italy) and the agenda had foreseen the election of a new President. According to the rotation system applied in CEMATEX, the presidency of the European Committee was being handed over to the Netherlands for the next four years.

CEMATEX President
Mr. Edward Roberts, owner and President of the The Van Wijk Group of companies (Van Wijk, Vald Henriksen and Brugman) was elected as President of CEMATEX for the period 2004 - 2008. He took over the presidency from Mr. Bernard Terrat, France, President of CEMATEX for the last four years.

CEMATEX General Secretary
Mr. Bert Vonkeman, General Secretary of the Dutch Textile Machinery Manufacturers Association (GTM) was nominated CEMATEX General Secretary. He took over from Mrs Evelyne Cholet.

UCMTF
PRESIDENT ELECTION

The General Assembly of the French Textile Machinery Manufacturers Association, UCMTF has elected to its Presidency Mr. Bruno AMELINE, Chairman and Chief Executive Office of NSC Groupe.
Mr. AMELINE took over from Mr. Henri GENEVRAY whose mandate was ending. He has been elected for a period of four years.
The General Assembly also elected as Vice-Presidents, Mr. André MOREL, President of the Board of LAROCHE, and Mr. Rolf STREBEL, STÄUBLI Textile Division Manager. Mr. Henri GENEVRAY was elected Treasurer of the association.

SDL ATLAS
NEW DIRECTOR OF SALES FOR THE AMERICAS

Mr. John Crocker has been appointed the new Director of Sales for the Americas for SDL Atlas.
From his base in Greensboro, Mr. Crocker will direct sales and coordinate support for the firm's wide variety of test products and accessories directed to textile and apparel makers across North America.
After starting his career with Milliken & Company at the Gayley Plant in Marietta, S.C., Crocker spent the past four years with Mr. Glen Raven serving customers in the technical fabrics market. He also helped develop Glen Raven's physical test lab. The lab was certified to ISO 17025 quality standards and has been accredited by A2LA.

Jeff Walker elected as Invista's CEO

The Koch Industries, Inc. finalised the purchase of Invista, formerly DuPont Textiles & Interiors, from DuPont. This combination of KoSa's polyester and related businesses with Invista's well-known brands and leadership positions in nylon and Spandex creates a diverse, integrated company well-positioned to compete in global fibers and resins markets, long term. The new INVISTA's businesses include Apparel, Interiors, Intermediates, Performance Fibres, Polymer and Resins, and Textile fibres.
Mr. Jeff Walker is Invista's chief executive officer, and his leadership team includes the following:
· Mr. Kevin Fogarty, President, Polymer and Resins.
· Mr. Bill Ghitis, President, Apparel.
· Mr. Gerold Linzbach, President, textile fibres.
· Mr. Dave Trerotola, President, performance fibre.
