Promatech highlights four main characteristics of the Alpha: quality; productivity; reliability and versatility. The heart of the loom, the filling insertion system, is available in two ribbon race versions; the GFG, which guides the ribbon on both sides of the machine for maximum versatility; and the MFG, which offers high performance with a single guide on only one side of the machine. The Alpha can be used for a wide variety of yarns.
Promatech demonstration center in Colzate, Italy offers a trial room for customers to test weaving machines before making investment decisions; and a showroom for demonstrating the many examples of Vamatex and Somet machine lines weaving a broad range of fabrics.
Promatech has recently made several developments in its machines. For example its new innovations are automatic control of pile height for terry machines, automatic timing of the weft cutter, and the new HI-DRIVE electronically controlled machine drive system.
The HI-DRIVE motor is optional for the Vamatex Leonardo and Somet Alpha weaving machines. With the HI-DRIVE option, machine speed can be controlled and programmed by the microprocessor, which can produce fabrics with variable pick density to obtain desired effects, run each filling yarn at suitable speed, and may prevent start/stop marks resulting from high-speed starts.

Agreement between ITEMA Group and the Uzbekistan Government

A Protocol Agreement for the supply of machines for the textile industry of Uzbekistan was signed recently at the Promatech head offices in Colzate (BG), between Mr. Miro Radici, C.E.O. of Itema Group and Azamkhon Bakhramov, minister of the Uzbekistan Government and President of Uzbekegilsanoat, a Company representing the light industry of the Government of Uzbekistan.

During the meeting Mr. Bakharamov gave details of the project of the Uzbekistan Government which, in its final shape is to increase the capacity of processing the cotton in the country, doubling the quantity of the finished product in three years, as today is only 20% of the million and two hundred thousand tons of the cotton annual production.
Globally an operation of 1.3 billions of dollars, of which around 600 millions to be utilised for the purchase of machinery for the spinning and weaving sectors.
In the signed Protocol it is clearly emphasised the great interest of the Uzbekistan Government to cooperate with the Itema Group, particularly with Promatech and Savio, both for the high-tech level of the machines produced by these two companies and for the capacity to serve customers with a reliable after sales service. The latter is an element that strongly influenced the choice for Itema Group against competition.
This is a great opportunity for the two companies of the group that thanks to the high quality-price ratio of their products, have the chance to enter in a very promising market that could ensure many future orders.
