UNIVAL 100
The biggest attraction will be as usual the UNIVAL
100, on display complete with harness. The UNIVAL 100
incorporates revolutionary technology and individual thread
control, opening unlimited possibilities in Jacquard weaving.
The machine was launched on the market at the ITMA 2003.
It can be configured to control from 5120 to 20480 threads,
as the job requires.
Dobbies and Cam motions
Shaft machines will also be on display at the stand,
including dobby type 2881, set up with ultra-light Carbo-Speed
heald frames for use on air-jet weaving machines with
up to 20 shafts and operating at the highest speeds. Dobby
2881 incorporates a new read-in system with a new ge-neration
of magnet bars for the highest reliability in operation.
The cam motion machine 1651 is ideal for producing standard
fabrics. The machine can be used with any type of weft-insertion
system. The 1651 will also be on display in operation
with a shaft drive.
Weaving preparation systems
OPAL automatic leasing machine
The OPAL leasing machine made its debut at the ITMA
2003. Since that time the machine has been manufactured
in series and delivered to several customers. The machine
for leasing warps with filament or staple-fibre yarns
can be set up in modular configuration to suit the specific
needs of the customer. The camera system guarantees error-free
leasing quality; it can even distinguish between threads
of different colours. Depending on the application, leasing
capacity measures up to 100,000 yarns in an eight-hour
work shift.
DELTA 110 automatic drawing-in system
The DELTA 110 can be set up in a modular configuration
as the job requires. The machine draws threads directly
from a 2.3m-wide, 4m-wide, or even 6m-wide warp, and simultaneously
draws the ends through the healds, drop wires, and reed-at
speeds of up to 140 cycles per minute. The machine will
be displayed with the new optical-control module for drawing
ends through the reed. The DELTA 110 on exhibit has been
purchased by a Turkish customer.
UNI-THERM yarn-setting
device
The UNI-THERM yarn-setting device will also be on
display at the Stäubli stand. It is part of the
UNI-LINK System, a family of products that simplify
handling and transport in the weaving mill. UNI-THERM
thermally sets elastomeric yarns or highly twisted
yarns in the warp, to ease automatic drawing-in or
tying. |

TOPMATIC warp-tying machine
Stäubli will also be demonstrating the TOPMATIC PC
with its unique monitoring system to prevent double yarns.
The machine will be mounted on the new TPF3 tying frame.
This frame features better ergonomics than previous models,
making handling more convenient.
