Autocoro 360 - Ahead by many lengths
· Up to 360 spinning units
· Take-up speeds of up to 300 m/min
Up to 360 spinning units and take-up speeds of up to 300 m/min
offer extra productivity potential, for example for soft knitting
yarns or coarse yarns. Manmade fibre yarns can now also be spun
at higher rotor speeds, while productivity increases of up to
40 % are achieved in the case of high-speed yarns.
New horizons with upto 4 Coromats
· 4 Coromats - guaranteeing productivity and quality
for both new and established applications
The optimized automation concept of the Autocoro 360 yields
greater productivity and flexibility. 3 or 4 Coromats per machine
are equal to the most extreme demands, guaranteeing machine
efficiency ratings of 97 % or more for most counts and applications.
Higher yarn break rates, a significant obstacle to productivity
in the past, are no longer something to be feared. 3 or 4 Coromats
are particularly economical for knitting yarns, raw materials
with a low spinning stability, high-speed yarns requiring high
rotor speeds and small rotors and yarns necessitating frequent
package doffs and clearer and foreign fibre cuts. Lot-changing
is also much faster with 4 Coromats, taking only 40 minutes
or so even on long machines with 360 spinning units.
The narrow section design is also advantageous, as 360 Autocoro
spinning units take up less space than machines from other manufacturers.
This means up to 13 % more production in the same space, especially
when using space-saving rectangular cans.
| The uniform piecings on the Autocoro 360,
which are indistinguishable from the yarn itself, are entirely
in keeping with the philosophy of the perfectionist. A piecing
strength of over 90% is achieved even at high rotor speeds.
Highly dynamic drives for the sliver intake and yarn take-up,
sensors and a laser light barrier increase the accuracy
of the piecing process. The fibres are also combed out and
parallelized prior to each piecing cycle. An electronic
piecing tester ensures that only perfect piecings are wound
onto the package. |

Corobox SE 12 spinbox
The universal Corobox SE 12 spinbox - now more accurate with
SDSI and more economical thanks to new spinning components
· Flexibility with the intelligent SDSI Single Drive
Sliver Intake
· 20- to 450-fold drafts
No matter whether the yarns spun are from natural or manmade
fibres or blends of these, or are smooth or structured yarns,
the Corobox SE 12 is capable of handling all applications. This
new spinbox gives the Autocoro 360 a level of flexibility and
a yarn quality never previously achieved. The SDSI Single Drive
Sliver Intake guarantees a precisely defined fibre feed by means
of stepping motors in each spinbox. This is crucial for the
manufacture of reproducible fancy yarns. With the Corobox SE
12, only one feed is required for all yarn counts, a major flexibility
advantage. Even coarse slivers of up to 7ktex are spun into
fine yarns due to the wide draft range of 20- to 450-fold.

The Autocoro 360 is fitted with a magnetic
bearing assembly for the rotors, the Magnetic Rotor Positioning
System MRPS. Compared to conventional bearing assemblies
requiring grease, oil or air, the MRPS cuts maintenance
and operating costs. The spinbox components and drive belts
are more durable and the bearing technology is dirt-resistant.
Maintenance intervals are two to three times longer, and
absolutely no adjustment is required. The energy consumption
of the MRPS is also positive, yielding economies of up to
24,000 kW per year and machine compared with air cushion
bearings. |
Schlafhorst has developed new Belcoro spinning components for
the Corobox SE 12, such as the Stream Line SL adapters. These
optimize the fibre feed, reduce yarn breaks by up to 60 % and
increase yarn strength. The advantages are manifold: productivity
advantages thanks to higher speeds for cotton and manmade fibres
and potential savings due to the use of cheaper raw materials.
To enable Autocoro spinning mills with several spinbox generations
to benefit from the advantages of Belcoro spinning components,
most of these can be used on different models ranging from the
SE 8 spinbox to the new Corobox SE 12. Schlafhorst is the only
rotor spinning machine manufacturer to offer a system that is
so customer-friendly and economical on capital expenditure.
Fancynation - a new route to Fancy yarn production
· Unique drive and control concept that results in higher
productivity
· Modular structure that is user-friendly and flexible
Fancynation is the modular hardware and software integrated
into the Autocoro 360 to facilitate the production of fancy
yarns. Fancy yarn manufacture is more productive and reproducible
than ever before with Fancynation, as the mechanical constraints
commonly encountered in the past have been eliminated by the
Corobox SE 12 with Single Drive Sliver Intake SDSI.
The central platform for all effects is the FancyPilot. A variety
of tools such as the QuickDesigner, 2D-interactive GraphicDesigner
and 3D-Simulations are used to generate and modify effects easily,
quickly and with little effort on the screen. Report changes,
the simulation of effects on yarn panels and in knits and wovens
on the screen make product development easier. Machine setting
parameters are linked automatically to effect data in the software
and setting recommendations are stored with spinning components,
also enhancing the reproducibility of fancy yarn production.
Other notable system modules are FancyControl for monitoring
the quality of the yarn spun online, FancyProfile for displaying
the yarn diameter and progression of effects, Fancy0asis Gold
with extended simulation functions such as stonewash finishes
and FancyLink for measuring and entering yarn patterns.
Other fundamental elements of fancy yarn production on the
Autocoro 360 include new spinning components developed specially
for fancy yarns, such as GT rotors and a compact feed tray,
along with the precise, electronically controlled spinning vacuum
achieved with the Electronic Vacuum Adjustment system EVA.
Coropack - Autocoro packages set
new standards
· Coro Value Package CVP: compact, optimum unwinding
properties.
· Heavy Weight Package HWP: economical, thanks to a 5
kg weight.
The new CoroPack generation of packages is synonymous with
greater efficiency and quality. The Coro Value Package CVP guarantees
a low, homogeneous winding tension that will not have a detrimental
effect on the yarn. The yarn elongation is thus up to 1 % higher
than on conventional packages. As a result, the new packages
are distinguished in weaving and knitting mills by up to 70%
fewer yarn breaks.
The new features of the winding unit on the Autocoro 360 are
particularly advantageous for manufacturing compact packages.
A weight of up to 5 kilograms can be achieved with the Heavy
Weight Package HWP, cutting production costs in the spinning
mill thanks to less frequent package doffing and lower tube
costs. A 10% increase in package weight for the same package
diameters guarantees an optimum packing density and reduces
the cost of transporting packages by several thousand euro per
year and machine, even in the case of fine yarns.
Polypropylene clearing system for Autocoro yarns
· Exclusive to the Autocoro.
· For all cotton and blended cotton yarns.
The Autocoro 360 equipped with the new Corolab 8 and Corolab
8PP yarn monitoring system is the only rotor spinning machine
in the world on which even foreign fibres of materials such
as polypropylene or nylon used in bale packaging can be cleared
along with film residues. The new Corolab 8PP yarn clearer was
developed exclusively for the Autocoro and is only obtainable
for the Autocoro, giving Autocoro spinning mills worldwide a
unique competitive advantage.
Corolab 8PP is based on the triboelectric effect. Polypropylene
fibres trigger a clearer intervention, both in the case of cotton
yarns and blended cotton yarns. Every basic clearer in the Corolab
8 system is already configured in readiness for retrofitting
the polypropylene sensor, so that this can be installed at any
time subsequently.
Increased productivity, flexibility and savings thanks to
EVA and IDS
· Energy savings thanks to a constant, electronically
controlled vacuum.
· Greater productivity with critical raw materials.
| The Autocoro 360 is the only automatic rotor
spinning machine on which variations in the raw material
have as little effect on efficiency ratings as setting a
low spinning vacuum. The suction system of the Autocoro
360 with Electronic Vacuum Adjustment EVA guarantees a constant,
automatically controlled spinning vacuum at every spinning
unit. The number of yarn breaks can be reduced and productivity
significantly increased by optimizing the setting. Monitoring
of the filling level ensures that EVA always operates in
the optimum range. EVA thus lowers energy costs by up to
30% compared with systems that have no adjustment facility. |
Autocoro 360 - The most productive automatic
rotor spinning machine worldwide
|
Greater flexibility is offered by the new Intelligent Drive
System (IDS) concept: the yarn twist, draft, spinning vacuum,
opening roller speed and rotor speed and even the sliver intake
speed are all set smoothly and effortlessly at the Informator.
Lot-changing and product and process optimizations are simpler
and more reproducible than ever before with this new drive concept.
No matter what objectives rotor spinning mills pursue, the Autocoro
360 with its revolutionary innovations will prove a profitable
solution for the future. And the technical advances benefit
not only those mills that have the new Autocoro 360; many of
the innovative new features can also be retrofitted to existing
machines.
Boom in PSF imports from China
Brussels based organisation CIRFS (Comité International
de la Rayonne et des Fibres Synthétiques). has provided
the information that PSF imports from the People Republic of
China and Saudi Arabia have increased overall in absolute terms
and in terms of market share.
Imports from Saudi Arabia rose from 4.3 million euros in 1997
up to 15.3 million euros in 2002. After increasing by 64% in
2000, they were up 21% and 25% in 2001 and 2002, respectively.
Imports from China boomed in 2002, rising 2,623% from 796,000
euros up to 21.7 million euros.
An interim review of PSF imports from Taiwan and Korea was
also decided at the same time. Taiwan and Korea are the two
most important PSF exporters in the world. "Existing measures
are no longer sufficient to counter-act the injurious dumping,"
the CIRFS argued.
EU imports of PSF from Taiwan reached 56.8 million euros in
2002, up 16% from 2001. Imports from South Korea fell from 101
million euros in 2001 down to 95 million euros in 2002.
Importers to oppose new duties
EU importers are expected strongly opposing future duties on
shipments from China and South Korea. "When fibre prices
increase, European textile jobs move to Asia," said in
a leaflet UK-based importer Eurochem GB Ltd. The PSF importer
denounces the timing imposed by EU Commission, in addition.
Anti-dumping notices were officially published on December
19th on the eve of a two-week break while time limits imposed
to importers and exporters for requesting questionnaires do
not exceed 15 days of publication of the notice, Eurochem said.
In addition to duties imposed on PSF imports from Taiwan and
Korea, fibers from Australia, Belarus, India and Thailand are
also subject to a similar treatment while anti-subsidy duties
are imposed on PSF from Australia and Indonesia.
Anti-dumping duties
The European Union could impose anti-dumping duties on polyester
staple fibers from China and Saudi Arabia while possibly prolonging
similar duties on PSF from Korea and Taiwan. Polyester staple
fibers are among favorite products of EU anti-dumping authorities.
Following a new complaint by the European producers of man-made
fibers, EU Commission decided launching an investigation over
PSF imports from China and Saudi Arabia.
Polyester fibers (HS 55032000) from both countries were not
subject to EU anti-dumping duties until now.
