Q. Please tell us something about Changling Group and your position as a manufacturer of textile testing instruments in China.

A. Founded twenty years ago, Changling Group is a large electronic enterprise in China. We produce military electronics, consumer electronics, and textile electronics. Our textile electronic company is the largest manufacturing base of precision textile electronic instruments and devices in China. We have a market share of 70%-80% of Chinese market.

Q. What kind of products are produced for the textile industry? A. With twenty years of development, our company has produced twenty kinds of products which belong to three series: precision instruments for the textile laboratory, digital electronic yarn clearers and electric control boxes of air jet looms. All of our products take advantage of digital multiprocessing technology so as to match advanced international standards. The company became the first national tech developing center in China. We have established a perfect service system which includes installation and adjustment, technology consultation, user training and supplying spare parts.

Q. What is the total number of your installations and to which countries do you export your products range?
A. We have more than 1500 installations, majority of them being in China. We export to more than twenty countries from South America to South East Asia, including Australia, Syria, Malaysia and Pakistan.
In Pakistan we have installations in Khawaja Textiles, Al-Noor Textiles and Popular Textiles among others. Pakistan is an important and growing market for us. The Industry in Pakistan producing superior yarn and textiles require very high level of controls and monitoring to maintain consistent quality. Our wide range of products for the spinning industry provide yarn clearers, evenness testers, sliver and evenness testers, tension testers, hairiness testers, yarn count testers of international standards.

Q. From the level of technology on display at Shanghaitex it appears that China is now rapidly changing her image from an image of low quality, low priced producer to a manufacturer of goods of very high level of technical competence. What are your comments?
A. You are correct. In China we are now producing very high quality of testing equipment. Intense competition in the international markets with the key players who are traditionally well placed drives us to give an outstanding level of service to our customers worldwide. We have a service station in Pakistan where our representatives in Pakistan who are highly trained professionals provide on time service to all the users of our products in Pakistan. Pakistan will certainly remain instrumental in our product development in order to provide solutions to meet growing demands of industry in Pakistan.
