'Let's Go Summer 2009!' was the theme of the last Fashion Access recently held on the 2nd to 4th October 2008 at the Hong Kong & Exhibition Centre. A bi-annual event, Fashion Access is Asia's  international trade fair for handbags, travelware, footwear, leather garments and fashion accessories. 

Fashion Access attracted 95 first-timers amongst the more that 450 exhibitors from 32 countries and regions and over 5,000 buyers from 60 countries and regions. Exhibitors displayed a wide range of trendy and quality fashion accessories for the forthcoming season. The expanded footwear section included national pavilions from Brazil and Italy while many Malaysian footwear companies, showing in Hong Kong for the first time, showcased their latest trendy footwear collections.

As usual, complimenting Fashion Access was the well-established 'Best of APLF Awards' which honours at the APLF Award Party. Additionally, informative seminars featuring distinguished speakers gave participants an opportunity to enrich their knowledge on the latest accessories and footwear fashion trends, branding and the hot topic of eco-textile - when is organic not organic?

In keeping with the changes in fashion with emphasis on the global concern with environmental friendly products, buyers were able to examine upcoming trends at the Fashion Trends Lounge and discover natural, recycled and handmade products in the Eco-Fashion Zone.

The next Fashion Access will be held  from 31st March to 2nd April 2009 alongside the other APLF events, Materials, Machinery & Technology exhibition and Prime Source Forum, the annual meeting of the Global Apparel industry.  This year will be the 25th Anniversary of this renowned international event.
