ITMA ASIA +CITME Preview III

Mahlo presents innovative monitoring technology
Unusual perspectives. Remarkable solutions. New means for the textile market.

At the ITMA ASIA + CITME 2008 in Shanghai, from the 27th – 31st July, Mahlo GmbH & Co.KG will feature in Hall E1, on Stand A26, an area of over 100m², showcasing innovative monitoring and control technology. The theme “Textile and beyond” will dominate the stand.

Mahlo, a family-run company which is located in Bavaria, has carved out a solid position in the competitive global marketplace. Mahlo is one of the world’s leading producers of measurement, control and automation systems for the textile industry and for the paper, foil and coating sector. The company’s extensive portfolio of products and services reflects constant movement and progress. The products are designed to set new standards in quality assurance and process optimization. The goal is to work together with the customer to identify the most competitive and cost-effective production solutions.

Traditionally committed to the optimization of textile processes, Mahlo has utilized synergetic effects and adapted its products to suit in order to do equal justice to textile-related and other industries too. In doing so, Mahlo underscored once again its role as global leader in the manufacture of control systems for the textile industry – without restricting itself to it.

Mahlo offers its customers a wider range of options to help increase profitability and value added by saving resources such as energy, raw materials and labour, and optimizing at the same time product quality and processing. An exceptionally proficient and thoughtful approach by Mahlo’s R&D team has lead to quite novel solutions.

The stand covers several items of interest, in particular the so called "Innovation Spot", which will doubtless be the focus of most attention. The demonstration range, on which material circulates continuously, includes the new straightening system "ORTHOPAC XRVMC-12", which was first introduced at the ITMA 2007 and has since very successfully held its own in the marketplace. As the first system of its type, it offers a unique combination of simultaneous adjustment and control. The independently adjustable straightening rollers guarantee the best possible control over the straightening process and realign material faster than ever before.

At the other end of the demo-range, visitors will find the new "WEBSCAN WIS-12", an on-line fault detector featuring the very latest in camera technology. This revolutionary system with a fault-detection quota of up to 100% at line-speeds of up to 100m/min offers a completely novel way of inspecting fabric. The "Straightening Spot" features the well-established, world renowned straightening system "ORTHOPAC RVMC-12" in compact form for precise detection and correction of bow and skew. This system can be extended into a fully integrated process control system. Visitors will find its associated sensors and those for the stand-alone process controller "OPTIPAC VMC-12" in the "Sensor Spot".

The display is rounded off by the new traversing moisture monitor Textodrive TMS-12“, and on-line pattern sampler "Samplecut FSC-12" exhibits.
