The 5th Annual Environment Excellence Awards (AEEA) distribution ceremony will be held at a local hotel on July 2nd, 2008, to honor 36 best environment friendly companies of Pakistan.

National Forum for Environment & Health (NFEH) is organizing award ceremony  on July 02, 2008. The award has been instituted to recognize and promote the organizations which make an outstanding contribution to sustainable development. They aim to highlight policies, practices, processes and products from all sectors of business in the country, which help achieve economic and social development without harming the environment and natural resources.

The following companies will receive the awards:

In their messages on the occasion, Federal Minister for Environment, Hameed Ullah Jan Afridi and Sindh Minister for Environment Askari Taqvi have congratulated the award winners and called upon industrial units to fulfill their responsibilities for improving the environment.

They lauded the environment friendly industrial units and said that government gives importance to the industrial units that comply with environmental laws and others should also follow these rules. Both the ministers appreciated the performance of National Forum and assured of their fullest cooperation in this regard.

A national conference on "Environment Management" will also be held prior to the award ceremony.
