Contamination in cotton needs little
introduction which is currently a daunting task for the
spinner. Premier launched Xeni concept of Blow room
Contamination sorters in ITMA 2007.
First of its kind “Concept – Xeni”
“Xeni”, the concept stands for two
different machines exclusively designed for contamination
removal in Blow room line.
Xeni F

The Need for Customised Solution
Beginning of the line demands, that a
machines should be able to handle higher production rates,
larger tufts running at relatively slower speeds when compared
to the end of the line. While at the end of line the production
rate is half where the line is split into two lines, tufts are
smaller and are processed at higher speeds depending on the Make
and Model of the Blow room line. Both these conditions are
contradictory which calls for specific designs with respect to
detection as well as ejection. Xeni meets these demands
perfectly.
The Combined Benefits
First of its kind “Xeni” – concept
complements each other, Xeni F helps narrow down the threshold
levels in Xeni 2 by approximately 30%, this additional threshold
setting together with the removal of larger contaminations by
Xeni F helps reduce the quantum of Foreign matter which is
presented to the final clearer at Winding as well as in the
finished fabric. The percentile reduction in foreign matter in
the final fabric varies drastically from site to site due to
numerous associated factors.
Features
Xeni 2 features a unique detector for
polypropylene. Xeni 2 adopts a unique design to eliminate deaf
spots in the UltraSonic module, to detect white/colored
polypropylene and thin plastic films. CCD array, together with
UltraSonic detectors, provides best in class performance for
detecting coloured as well as polypropylene. Parallel processing
enables, detection of contaminants of different types, sizes and
orientation at higher speeds. A patented transfer zone inside
the evacuation chamber helps to trap the ejected material from
returning to the mainline.

Xeni F
Xeni F features a unique optical photo
detector. Parallel processing of signals from 192 optical photo
detectors enables best in class detection of contaminants of
different types, sizes and orientation at higher speeds.
A patented transfer zone inside the
evacuation chamber helps to trap the ejected material from
returning to the mainline in both Xeni F and Xeni 2. Custom
designed angle inside the nozzle delivers air, from the pilot
operated high speed valves.
 
To summarize, UltraSonic sensors with a
unique design eliminates deaf spots and with CCD arrays and
processing the signals by high speed processors operating in
parallel, and with a patented transfer zone ejection system,
together with the removal of larger contaminants in the
beginning of the line, elimination of contamination is rest
assured by Xeni Concept.
