Hans Schmidt offers a selection of Tension Meters

Wherever precision and superior quality are essential in production and processing, SCHMIDT Tension Meters are considered as indispensable in production monitoring, quality control, automation and process engineering. SCHMIDT offers a large selection of Tension Meters: The product range includes both hand-held models and Online Tension Meters, each available as mechanical and electronic versions.

During ITMA Asia 2008 following new products will be presented:

  •  Electronic, battery-operated Tension Meter Series ETX with digital display , memory (4000 readings) and analog and digital output (RS232) or download and monitor readings to a PC. Available in different ranges up to max. 500 cN.

  • Online Tension Sensor Series TS-232 and LTS-422 with digital output (RS 232 or RS422) to monitor tension data and make data analysis using a PC. Up to 32 Sensors can be connected .

  • Display unit model SCD-1 and panel mount display model SC-PM. These displays are suitable for all Schmidt tension sensors with analog output.

Main features include,

(i)         Adjustable Min/Max Alarm settings with indication and output.

(ii)        Analog and digital outputs ( 0-10 V and RS 232, optional RS 422).

(iii)       Adjustable damping.

(iv)       Possibility to store 3 different calibration curves.

Besides the tension meters the company will also display other      control and inspection instruments such as

  • Textile Durometers (hardness tester) for yarn bobbins.

  •  Rubber hardness testers for spinning rolls.

  •  Textile moisture meters.

  • Yarn speed and length meters.

  • Force gauges (Push-Pull) and Teststands.

  • Thickness Gauges.

  • Stroboscopes.

  •  Tachometers.
