TEXMAC INDIA: International textile machinery exhibition in New Delhi

The premiere of the International Textile Machinery Exhibition, TEXMAC India, was a hit with the audience and now, boosted by this success, it is entering a second edition will be held from 15 to 18 April 2009 in New Delhi, India. The show is supported by the Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI) and the key international manufacturers´ associations. TEXMAC INDIA in 2009 is the only fair on the Indian continent in their programme. Taking place at the same time as the fair, as at the premiere, is the ATEXCON Asian Textile Conference. This ensures that the decision-makers from all leading companies in India and the neighbouring countries will be attending TEXMAC INDIA.

“The quality of visitors at Texmac India 2007 was very good; even the ‘top shots’ of the Indian textile industry were here among the customers,” said Hermann Selker, Marketing Director of Trützschler, summing up the premiere of TEXMAC in 2007. “Texmac India is a very well organised show with very nicely done booths, very efficient staff and very good technical organisation,” concluded Yogesh Garg, Sales Director of Oskar Dilo. The comments of the exhibitors underlined the advantages of the TEXMAC concept – professional planning and organisation, optimum geographical positioning and a high acceptance level among the visitor target groups.

Because of this positive response, the organizers are expecting even greater interest in the second event. The space earmarked at the Pragati Maidan exhibition centre has accordingly been extended to include two other halls. The second TEXMAC India will thus be held in Halls 8 to 13. The leading European associations such as the VDMA/Germany, ACIMIT/Italy and BTMA/Great Britain as well as the US association ATMA are fully behind TEXMAC at the location in New Delhi and are present with official country participations. Not least because they have an eye on the good connections to the neighbouring states.

In 2007, for example, there was a high number of trade visitors registered from Pakistan. For this reason the advertising activities for this region have been stepped up for 2009 and are already getting into gear. Exhibitor documentation can be ordered as of now from the organizers IMAG, Munich and Fair Design India, New Delhi, at www.texmacfairs.com. The deadline for registrations is 1 October 2008. The premiere of TEXMAC INDIA 2007 was attended by around 200 exhibitors and 6,000 visitors. The range covers the entire machinery and equipment needs for manufacturers of textile goods. TEXMAC INDIA is organised by IMAG – International Exhibition and Fair Service Ltd, the international arm of the Messe München Group, in cooperation with Fair Design India Pvt. Ltd. IMAG has been in the business of organizing trade fairs, trade fair participations and large-scale events worldwide since 1946.
