Essential - The Home of Cutting-Edge Textiles
Suppliers of organic, eco-friendly, or
functional fabrics will find a prime product marketing platform
in Interstoff Asia Essential. The fair will host large product
range, special display areas and be supported by three-day
seminar programme.
Manufacturers and suppliers of organic,
eco-friendly, or functional fabrics will once again find a prime
product marketing platform in Interstoff Asia Essential,
scheduled to run from 8th to 10th October 2008 at the Hong Kong
Convention & Exhibition Centre. The fair is positioned as a
niche event, bringing together suppliers and buyers of the most
cutting-edge textiles available in the global marketplace.
Fabrics which are made from eco-friendly materials, whose
manufacturing process has minimum impact on the environment,
take centre stage. Also showcased are fabrics which are
multi-functional or that have a range of invisible properties,
adding to their intrinsic value.
Over 200 exhibitors are expected to
participate, bringing with them a wide range of fabrics in all
fashion categories. The last Autumn fair attracted 8,500 buyers
from 55 countries & regions, highlighting the demand for
high-value, ground-breaking textile products. To make it easier
for buyers to find what they need at the Autumn 2009 fair, a
number of special display areas will be erected:
Eco-textiles: Fabrics That
Care – a showcase for eco-friendly textiles, such as those made
with organic or natural fibres, or that minimise impact on the
environment during manufacturing and finishing process. All
products will be labelled with the Interstoff Asia Essential
eco-labelling system, developed by the show organizers in
association with Sachiko Inoue, one of Japan’s leading textile
experts and trend forecasters.
21st Century Wardrobe – a
showcase for multi-functional fabrics and those with properties
invisible to the naked eye.
Directions Trend Forum – selection of
exhibitor fabrics arranged according to the trends for Autumn
/Winter 2009/2010, as discerned by the Interstoff Asia
Directions Trend Committee. The committee is comprised of Kai
Chow/Here & There (New York) (Chief Designer Autumn 2008), Nelly
Rodi / Nelly Rodi Agency (Paris), Sachiko Inoue (Tokyo), Ornella
Bignami / Elementi Moda (Milan).
As well as the large range of fabric
products and the special display areas, the fair will be
supported by a three-day programme of seminars addressing key
topics for the textile & garment industry. Topics will include
information on style and trends, business strategies, and
products / technology.
