Asia - main export market

Germany is the world's largest machinery manufacturer trusted for its innovative and high quality products. It exports more than 50% of its machinery to the Asian region.

“Also in 2007, Asia was the main export market for textile machinery Made in Germany. With a share worth 1.85 billion Euro, more than half of the German textile machinery exports went to this region.

One quarter - equalling one billion Euro - were sold to China alone", said, Thomas Waldmann, the Managing Director of the Textile Machinery Association within the German Engineering Federation VDMA.

China is the biggest market for German machinery followed by Turkey and India. The VDMA confirms that  China imported textile machinery worth 1 billion Euro, while Turkey ranked second with an import amount of 408 million Euro. The machines worth 301 million Euro were exported to India. It is indeed a good sign for Europe that the exports from Germany continue to grow despite the grow despite strong euro.
