IWTO Congress 2008 - Wool the Environmentally Friendly Fibre

Wool the Environmentally Friendly Fibre is the theme of the 77th IWTO Congress to be held during 13th - 16th April 2008 in Beijing, China.

Environmentally friendly, sustainability and climate change – these are now the key words not only for idealists, but proving a challenge to nearly all industry sectors! Each activity, each product, each service is nowadays trying to conform with this trend, with all its related aspects and catch phrases like ‘health’, ‘sustainability’, ‘organic’, ‘green’, ‘clean’, ‘biological’, ‘authentic’, ‘life quality’, etc. Wool historically has all the essential attributes the modern world is demanding, and it is up to us to use these advantageous properties for the benefit of our industry.

The aim of this Congress is to do everything possible to alert wool industry to the importance of this trend. “WOOL - THE ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY FIBRE”…at each stage of our supply chain the natural benefits of wool must become visible, especially at the end of the chain, where the most important element is to be found: the consumer!

Online registration is now open and delegates can register online at www.iwto.org/events/IWTOCongress/Beijing08.
